mandie, thanks for the comments. it is hard to get my dog at times but what we do that seems to work great is i will lay on the ground about 20 yards ahead of my wife and dog and then yell for my dog. i know sounds weird but thats the only way i can get her attention since she loves to see what else is going on. then my wife gets her to dart at me.
as for camera settings i usually set my focus to continuos, f 1.8 or and set a shutter speed of 1/400th and set iso accordingly. as for focus points i usually set it to center but if she is in a wild mood i set it to center but use the setting where the surrounding points will assist focus if she moves out of the center of the frame. i also switch my camera to take multiple shots so i can just hold down the shutter and blast away.
Awwww total cuteness! Reminds me of my dogs, I have two dachshunds! We make them do weiner dog races, lol.
Love the action shots!

Oh, she IS super cute!!! Love those running shots, how do you get them? Our pug is a cute runner, but sometimes it’s hard to get her in action..
